Tele2 & T-Mobile TV Platforms

The redesign of a failing level within an serious VR game. Work together with chronic ill patients in order to discover the ways to re imagining the spine.

Overview

Reducept is currently working on its flagship game, which shares the same name as the company. The concept of the game is that players can play ‘through their body’ inside the game. The player plays through a series of levels, and in those levels, they go through several parts of the body. The game is a VR experience that is also playable on mobile.

One of the levels of the game was not in the desired state and is underperforming according to test results from Reducept. During the Assignment my job was to conduct a UX research and redesign the level according to the user feedback.

I managed to create a thorough research document in which I tested the application with several of the users to determine the exact problem, I then did concept with the development team, and in the end created a prototype based on the research.

Tele2 & T-Mobile TV Platforms

The redesign of a failing level within an serious VR game. Work together with chronic ill patients in order to discover the ways to re imagining the spine.

Overview

For my first professional assignment, I had the honor of joining T-Mobile’s Media team as a UI & UX Designer, tasked with creating and enhancing the TV platforms for Tele2 and T-Mobile. The TV applications for the various brands under T-Mobile’s umbrella were outdated and in need of a refresh. This required designing entirely new UX flows and building fresh UI screens around them.

Together with a team consisting of other designer and closely working with stakeholders from the different brands, I was responsible for conceptualizing and creating the new UI screens and UX flows. As a UX Designer, my work involved stakeholder management, UX research, and developing user stories/use cases. During the app development process, I worked closely with product managers and stakeholders from the various brands. I also communicated with external partners, such as the front-end development team Orion based in Eastern Europe and the Chinese company Easier. This often meant switching between English and Dutch throughout the project.

As a UI Designer, I focused on designing screens in the design tool Figma. In Figma, I also created components for a custom-built Design System. Complementary tasks included designing an icon set, crafting animations (like boot animations or idle animations), creating illustrations, and working with various brand guidelines.

A small part of my role involved validating and conducting usability tests for the apps, as well as incorporating user feedback.
